Ye Ole Pirate Fishing Charters

Hot Fun in the Summertime 06/30/2009

June was an excellent month for migrating salt water species here on Amelia Island.  Offshore, 'Ye Ole Pirate' spent the month trolling for cobia, barracuda, Spanish mackerel, kingfish and mahi-mahi.  Inshore also yielded cobia, barracuda, Spanish mackerel, shark and whiting along with a number of very large rays that amazed the children.

Bottom fishing offshore produced nice catches of grouper, red snapper, sea bass and trigger fish to name just a few.

It's been reported that "summer tarpon weighing over 100 pounds and king mackerel up to 50 pounds have been numerous at both the St. Mary's Inlet and the Nassau Inlet".  Ye Ole Pirate is getting ready for some of this action come July.  We are running a few specials in July.  Give us a call for the July specials.

If you're looking for some exciting shark action, you'll get plenty of attention from a variety of  shark species this month.  The big ones are in and they're hungry.

Nice shark on the home page! I bet that was a fight! That's got to be just so cool to fight one of those babies awhile.
